Overview
You can start a visit directly from the Activities screen and carry it out on the spot. After choosing the visit type, main customer, and store, you can begin the visit immediately and add photos, forms, notes, and tasks, set the visit status, and finish it—all in one flow. This is ideal for ad-hoc visits that weren’t planned in advance but still need to be captured properly.
Before You Start
You need access to the Activities area and permission to create visits. Make sure the visit type, main customer, and store you want already exist in FieldPie.
How to Create a New Visit Activity
- In the left navigation menu, select Activities.
- Click the plus (+) icon in the top-right corner.
- Select a visit type from the list.
- Select the main customer from the list.
- Choose the relevant store.
- Click Create Visit to start a new visit record.
- To start the visit now, select Yes for “Do you want to visit now?”
- Add a photo with the plus icon under Photo.
- Add a form with the plus icon under Form, enter details, and click Save.
- Add notes with the plus icon under Notes.
- Add a task with the plus icon under Task, then click Save.
- Select the visit status from the list.
- Click Finish Visit to complete the visit.
Tips and Things to Know
- Great for ad-hoc visits that weren’t planned but still need to be recorded.
- Select Yes for ‘visit now’ to capture everything in a single flow.
- You can attach photos, forms, notes, and tasks before finishing.
- The visit status you pick comes from your visit status configuration.
