How to Configure Workflow Triggers

Overview

Triggers are the conditions that decide when a workflow runs. When configuring a workflow rule, you choose the field the IF condition looks at—such as Category, Client State, Client Tag, Parent Company, Display—and the state value that should fire it. Getting the trigger right is what makes a workflow run at exactly the right moment and no other.

Before You Start

You need access to the Forms area and permission to edit forms. Decide which condition and value should fire the workflow before you configure it.

How to Configure Workflow Triggers

  1. From the left navigation menu, select Forms.
  2. Click the pencil icon to add existing forms, or click the plus icon to create and add a new form to the workflow.
  1. Go to the bottom of the page and choose the workflow
  2. Select a workflow rule and define the resulting state when it triggers.
  3. Select a field for the IF condition, such as Category, Client State, Client Tag, Parent Company, Display, or Product OOS.
  1. Select a State value from the list; the available options depend on the IF condition you chose.
