Overview 

You can update many products at once by editing them in Excel. You export the products you want, make your changes in the file, and import it back into FieldPie; the edits then appear on the products. This method is best when the changes span many products or many fields, or differ from product to product, because you can work across the whole set in a spreadsheet. 

Before You Start

You need access to the Products/Services page and permission to export and import data. Export the products first so your file has the right rows and columns, and keep the identifying columns intact so each row matches the right product. 

How to Bulk-Edit Products through Excel

1. In the left navigation menu, select Product and Services. 

2. Use the checkboxes to select the products you want to edit. 

3. Click the export icon in the top-right corner. 

4. Export the selected products in XLSX or CSV format. 

5. Open the file and edit the product information directly in Excel. 

6. Return to FieldPie and click the import icon. 

7. Click Import Data to upload the updated file. The changes are applied to the products. 

Tips and Things to Know

• Keep the identifying columns unchanged so FieldPie matches rows to products. 

• Edit only what needs to change; leave the rest as exported. 

• Best when edits vary between products or cover many fields. 

• If a row won’t match on import, check its identifying values weren’t altered.
