Overview
Store access rights decide which stores a user can work with. FieldPie gives you four models: access to all stores, to stores in an assigned category, to stores that carry assigned tags, or to a specific set of assigned stores. You choose the model in Settings and then apply the details—the categories, tags, or stores—on each user’s edit page. This flexibility lets you match access to how your operation is organized, whether that is by region (categories), by attribute (tags), or by a hand-picked list.
Before You Start
You need access to Settings and permission to edit users. Decide which model fits the user—all stores, category-based, tag-based, or specific stores—and make sure the categories, tags, or stores you plan to use already exist in FieldPie. Setting up your store categories and tags in advance makes this far smoother.
How to Set Location Access Rights
- Click your profile in the top-right corner and, from the drop-down menu, click Settings.
- Under Store Access Rights, choose the model that fits the user: All Stores, Stores in Assigned Category, Stores with Assigned Tags, or Assigned Stores.

- Click Save.
- For category-based access, choose Stores in Assigned Category, then open Users and click the pencil (edit) icon for the user. In the Store Access Rights section, choose one or more categories and click Save. The user can then reach every store in those categories.

- For tag-based access, choose Stores with Assigned Tags, open the user’s edit page, and in the Store Access Rights section select one or more tags. The user can reach every store that carries those tags.
- For specific stores, choose Assigned Stores, then on the user’s edit page use the Assigned Stores option to select the exact stores you want to grant.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Tips and Things to Know
- Category and tag models scale well: add a store to the right category or tag and matching users get access automatically.
- The Assigned Stores model is best for a small, fixed list that rarely changes.
- Store access works alongside main customer assignment to define the full picture of what a user can reach.
- Set up your store categories and tags first (under Store settings) so they are ready to pick here.
- You can use all three access right options or select from them. You can edit the assinged stores as in bulk operations on both users or customers excel lists.
